Parks & Trails

The City of Long Lake offers a variety of recreational opportunities through its network of parks and trails.  Below is a list of municipal parks and their features / facilities.  FOR RESERVATION INFORMATION, please see 'Park Rental' below.

NELSON LAKESIDE PARK

TRAIL FACILITIES

bullet Luce Line State Trail
The Luce Line State Trail is a 63 mile long former railroad grade which was developed for biking, hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.  Click on the link above to print a trail map with parking information and a description of facilities available along the trailway.  For additional information about this state trail, please visit the MnDNR's website at http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_trails/luce_line/index.html.

Municipal trails and sidewalks are available in the downtown area and throughout our parks / neighborhoods.  Click on the link above to download a City parks and trails map.

 

Park Rental
Both Nelson Lakeside Park and Holbrook Park may be reserved for your event.  The fee to reserve a City park is $15.00 per day for a Long Lake resident individual or business, and $25.00 per day for any person or organization that does not reside within the City of Long Lake.  Fees are not waived for non-profit organizations.

HOLBROOK PARK SEASONAL RESERVATIONS
Additionally, the Holbrook Park ballfield and skating rink facilities may be reserved for seasonal usage by sporting and other associations.  Skating rink reservations may only be made for practice dates / times that do not conflict with regular public open hours of the hockey and pleasure skating rinks.  It is also possible to reserve use of either the ballfield or rink lights for an additional fee.
