City Overview
The City of Long Lake is home to 1,842 residents (search for additional 2000 Census data via the US Census Bureau fact finder website), 254 businesses, and 1,143 jobs.  A diverse community, Long Lake is located in west central Hennepin County at the edge of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area municipal urban service area on the lake of the same name.  The community of 574 acres is fully developed; however, opportunities for redevelopment and revitalization continue to grow.

The City's challenges lie in capturing the quality of the lake, retaining its small community atmosphere, managing limited resources, improving its economic base, solving regional transportation issues, and protecting residential neighborhoods.  For more information about our City, contact Long Lake City Hall at 952.473.6961.
